We have snow and there’s quite a lot of it too! It arrived overnight Saturday (Sunday morning’s photos above) and has fallen ever since.
I love snow, the kids love snow, the dogs (we have mum and dad’s just now) love snow, John loves snow…..but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing, and we might have reached that point.
The boys haven’t had school so far this week (and since it’s still snowing today I’m not sure tomorrow or Friday will be any different). It is lovely to spend time with them and, mostly, we are having a lovely time. BUT I have masses of sewing to do. Some orders to fulfill plus my own Christmas presents to make. And I’m not really getting a chance to work at any of it.
So, I’m trying not to get wound up about it. I can always work some really late nights if things don’t settle down soon. And, after all, snow is sooooooo fun! We have sledged and made a snowman and generally messed around.
Thanks very much for your comments on my last post where I put out a plea for advice. They were a great help, or will be when I can get working at the quilt properly!.
I’m guessing there are quite a few posts along the same theme across blogland and I’m hoping to have a few minutes just now to catch up with everyone else. Hope you are having fun and winter isn’t making things too complicated.
A pair of goosander – there’s often a few along the river, they usually turn up late autumn and spend the winter here. They are known as ‘sawbill’ as their beaks are long and thin and serrated – all the better for catching fishies!
