I started writing this post yesterday but blogger wouldn’t let me load up photos so it’s had to wait. Just now it’s chucking it down with rain and very cold. I had big plans for yesterday and today – I’ve got my niece both days and I intended to get her and Islay into the garden, sow some seeds and to go cycling with them in the bike trailer. Plans abandoned for another day…..baking instead.
We found a great new walk on Saturday. It was pretty windy here but the walk at Woodhall Dean is up a sheltered little gully. It was one of those walks that just worked out. Everyone walked really well and we had to persuade them to turn back when we started running out of time.
A lot of sticks and stones were thrown into the burn and Angus and Islay didn’t get too wet which is quite an achievement::
The views were beautiful::
Rock formations and clear blue sky::
Its a lot colder today and wet too which, with the wind, is giving a real wintry feel. I’m so glad we made the most of the weather at the weekend and no doubt it’ll come good again soon.
I celebrated the return of my mum this weekend. Yippee. Not only is she back for spring and summer, which we’ll all enjoy so much, but we are down to one dog again as Moray is back with her (If you’re wondering what this is all about I explained a bit here and here!). It does make life simpler altho’ I think Kipper finds it a bit strange at first. Dad will be back at the end of this week – they can never agree when to travel so often do it seperately. Very odd, I know, but it works for them and they’ll have been married 40 years this summer so I guess they know what they are doing!
