What a great start to the week.
As we dropped Finn and Angus off at school Islay and I noticed some very black clouds and by the time we got home it had started hailing. So, rather than our usual walk along the river we set off near to Tyninghame where the weather was a bit clearer. We walked, and the dogs charged, around the woods and parkland that my parents can access from their house. It was still grey, damp and cold but lovely to be out and about.
We could see down our river, the Tyne (the Scottish one not the English one), to the estuary.
Inland to the hills which still have some snow.
Bracket fungus fallen off an old beech tree.
So, I haven’t really achieved anything that was on my list to do this week. But I’m more than happy with that. What better way to spend the morning than pottering around with my little girl and enjoying the fresh air? And the dogs are happy too.
